Are there any DA revolvers left that don't have internal locks?

I'm looking for a quality 4" .38 Special.

I could be wrong but I don't believe double action Ruger revolvers have internal locks. Not sure though if they make any in 38 Special only and not 357. Look at the GP 100 and SP 101.

The taurus hammer mounted lock doesn't seem prone to spontaneous engagement. Probably the same with charter .

the current ones seem to be good quality unless you get a lemon which is always possible

Older S&W's or a Ruger Security Six/Service Six.

Don't turn down a good 357 mag. because later you may want to go up to a 357. Just shoot 38's in it for a while.

Ruger GP100s and SP101s do not have locks and are both available in .38.

I just picked up my 642-1 NIB last week. They are out there but you need to "hunt" for them.

Besides the GP100 and SP101, don't discount the vast number of pre lock revolvers still out there.

They are available LNIB if you search a little, and still cost less than that current sh.....stuff :)
