I just picked up my second Star BM from Aim surplus today. I ordered it from the same place at about the same time but this one is a little different than my first one.
Here are the things that vary. The sights are different. one has a serrated ramp front sight and the other has a smooth low post. The lever are shaped a little different. One is a Star Eibar and the other is a Star Echeverria. The Echeverria has a 7 digit number on the frame that isn't the SN#. I think it may be a police or Mil surplus gun. The Echeverria also have a bright blue finish while the Eibar has a matte top and duller blue everywhere else.
Does anyone know of a good online source for info about Star pistols? I want to know more now that I have two of the same gun that differ so much.
