I'm looking to get a handy book on rifle marksmanship, particularly one that focuses on longer-range stuff? Anyone have recommendations?

"Prone and Long-Range Rifle Shooting" by Nancy Tompkins is good reading.

"The Ways Of The Rifle".
No messin' around.

but it's mainly target technique, not wind doping and long-range ballistics.

+1 on Nancy Tompkins, especially for competitive shooting.

Some of the finest books on shooting are written by the Army Marksmanship Unit.
They are available from the CMP

The Service rifle guide is an outstanding instruction book.

I found a pdf version of the sniper manual and am printing it tomorrow. The printers I use have 3 holes punched in them. I am going to toss this straight into a binder. Looks like a lot of future reading.

While it may not be the best instructional book out there, "The Art of the Rifle" by Jeff Cooper deserves a mention here.
