I just finished my .22 "fun gun" and I think it came out pretty good. With the cost of shooting getting a little crazy I decided to pick up another rimfire as a fun plinker. Here she is.

The specs:
Ruger 18.5 in SS carbine (not the plastic trigger group)
Stock Weaver Rail
OD green Tapco T6 stock(I know)
VQ Auto Bolt Release
VQ Extended Mag Release
King Arms OD Green Vertical Foregrip
Silver Millet SP2 Redot (30mm/5MOA Dot)
I cut the rail gaurd to fit with the vertical fore grip as well.

I think it will be a fun gun to plink with, what do you think?

Looks like a lot of fun!

How good of a cheek weld can you get while aiming through that scope? I've always wanted to put optics on my 10/22, but the one's I've held never allowed me to rest my cheek against the stock properly while aiming, which is quite frustrating. How does the T6 stock do?

I like the Stainless/ OD combo. I don't see that often.

Whoa, I'm just getting ready to go pick up a 10/22 and you're telling me they have a plastic trigger group? Are we talking high density polymer or it's gonna break after 200 rounds plastic?

or it's gonna break after 200 rounds plastic?

Well, if you go around bashing it on rocks and such, anything is gonna break pretty quick.

My Mossberg 500 has a plastic trigger guard, haven't heard about too many breakages with that.

The Ruger 10/22 plastic trigger group should hold up fine. Glock frames are made of a type of plastic (polymer) and are outstanding. I have had no problems out of my Ruger with its plastic trigger guard.

I think midwayusa has the metal trigger groups for sale if you want to replace the plastic one. Or just buy the Volquartsen trigger group!

Thanks for the replies guys.

How good of a cheek weld can you get while aiming through that scope?

It's a Millet REDOT, and I would say it could be mounted a [I]little[I] bit higher but I don't think I will have any problems with the check weld.

How does the T6 stock do?

It's solid. Light too.

I should be getting up to the range on Saturday, I'll let you know how it shoots on Monday.
