Anyone have experience with Wolf primers? I've got a chance to get some at a pretty good price. Will they substitute for CCI or WW large pistol primers?
Thanks
Clarence

Haven't used the Wolf LP but I am currently using Wolf SP in place of Winchester SP. I have had no problems what so ever. I did re-verify my loads with the Wolf's but noticed no big difference.

Hi, Clarence.
I just did a search using the term "Wolf primers" ("Search" button on the green bar above) and found 110 threads on this exact question. I did the search because I remember answering this question a dozen times. In addition to my answer below, you'll get a lot more information by reading those threads.
Many of us have used tens of thousands of Wolf primers with no ill effect.
They appear to be good, and yield the same performance as any other.
They appear to be on par with Winchester in terms of sensitivity.
They offer a full line of magnum and standard types.
Give 'em a try.

I've loaded about 1000 rounds of 40 S&W with Wolf primers, no problems, good performance. The price is right too.

ive only used the large rifle magnum primer in 300wsm and 7mm wsm and have found the cup is tough and sits a bitdeeper in the Winny cases, the result being that Browning Abolts and Savage 12s will not always fire them reliably esp when its cold. My 700s love em and the acurracy is a touch better than the most popular BR primers. Trying to get some in small rifle. But from my exam of the online reloading sources there appears to be a panic in the primer dept. Yhe listings of available will change while youre makin a choice-- to unavailable

I just ordered 200,000 of them.
He is honchoing a large group buy over at Ohioans for Concealed Carry (http://ohioccwforums.org/index.php). So he won't be storing them. As a matter of fact, a sleeve of large pistol magnum primers has my name on them when they arrive.

We are in Central Ohio, but there are group buy participants from all over the state.
If you are from Marietta, I encourage participation in Ohioans for Concealed Carry.
