Or, in this case, Hi-Point's greenheaded step-cousin!! :neener:

Those pistols were the hit of the last gun show around here. There were tons of them and you wouldn't believe the people going crazy over them.

EVERYTHING about that gun is ugly

And I thought Ruger's polymer revolver was ugly.

It looks like it should fire laser beams; futuristic, and not in any sort of good way. :barf:

It even has some kind of half-length accessory rail, so it must be good

man i normally don't care what guns look like as long as they run, but in this case that is bad!

It's an improvement over a regular Hi?-point.

If the picture had a 3/8 inch drill bit sticking out of the barrel, I would have sworn it was the newest cordless drill on sale at Home Depot!

It isn't any uglier then any other plastic gun, give me a break!

It's a Hi-Point. I wouldn't care about its looks if it didn't perform how it looked. But it's a cheap pistol as that's what it was designed to be. Even the financially down deserve a means of defending themselves and their own. Hi-points may not shoot well but they feed, fire, and eject cartridges well enough to get by. What it comes down to is it's not meant to be a presentation pistol.

Can you imagine dropping that hideous thing in the lawn by accident ? I think I would rather end up finding an Easter egg instead of retrieveing that thing ?!?!

I dont own a Hi-Point and the OP was not to dismiss it's potential effectiveness. As a matter of fact, this thing probably could be used defensively even without ammo. Just show it to an attacker and they will probably be repulsed :)

Reliable or not, that is about the ugliest thing I have ever laid eyes on.

It isn't any uglier then any other plastic gun, give me a break!

Really? It's no worse than an Springfield XD? Wow.

man i normally don't care what guns look like as long as they run, but in this case that is bad!

That is normally my feeling as well, thats why I own these ugly Glocks :) This thing though is just a world of ugly beyond.....

It really does have the cordless drill look to it. Is Hi-point stealing DeWalt's trade secrets?

Ok fine, if it works then great. I may be a tack driver... but gawd it's just so ugly! And that crazy revolver looking thing is not one bit better.

Glocks are a portrait of beauty compared to those two. :neener:

May be ugly, but that's a fine shooting pistol. If you actually hold one you realize that they are heavy but well balanced.

I own a Hi-Point and I must say that is over the top. The frame isn't too bad but that slide must be sanded and painted immediately.

I heard this came from the factory that way, right?

DeWalt's are yellow, Hitachi's are green. :p

If it were absolutely my last line of defense, I might attempt
to pick it up and fire it. Otherwise, nothin' doin'. Yikes.

To me it looks as if high point tried to put a flared mag well, and target grips on one of their super ugly pistols...yuck.

What is that thing anyway?
I always thought they were some special boat anchor when I saw them at the gun shows.

Friends don't let friends buy Hi-Points.

I like that green paint much better than the bright blue on that 1911 posted in the "Nothing like a nice blue 1911" thread. That 1911 was pretty garish:barf:.

I always wonder when I see a really hideous gun, "How much would have it cost to make it look decent?"

It's a serious question, since it seems most of the really ugly guns are cheap ones!

I'd rather carry a tire iron than two of those things fully loaded. You don't have to marry a pig and you don't have to carry one. Life is too short for that.

If it were not that awful marbled green and had a flush-fitting magazine it would look slightly better. ;)

The A-10 Thunderbolt attack plane is ugly too, but if it saves your hide it is a thing of beauty.

-It's the gun you don't mind keeping under the battery tray of your car. If the acid gets to it, it's a GOOD thing!
