Just bought a T3 Hunter and will need to mount a scope soon. Would some of you who have done the same please comment on the quality of the rings that come with the gun and the accuracy of their alignment?
Do I need to buy a scope alignment kit for the Tikka?
Thanks,

The factory rings have worked great on my Tikka and were very easy to install.

Some of the eraly ribgs were not that great (so I heard), kinda cheap, but I have had no problem with my 2007 version .243.

Would some of you who have done the same please comment on the quality of the rings that come with the gun What Caliber? Reason I ask is because if it is a 300 WSM or greater you may want to think about getting some Warne steel ring mounts for your set up. The stock aluminum Tikka T3 rings failed on my 300 WSM at around 110 rounds. The dowel pin designed to stop ring mount movement pulled thru and broke out the aluminum mount at the base on my T3.

My T3 in 300 WSM has just over 500 rounds through it, and haven't had a bit of trouble with the factory rings. The scope hasn't had any adjustments after the initial zero, and the rings have held up just fine.

I have not had any problems out of my 7mm Rem Mag nor my 308. Both are holding fine.
