I just want to be sure I dont damage my new to me Fausti SxS. Its chambered for 3 inch magnums according to the barrels. Can I shoot 2 3/4 shells without damaging the chamber?

shotgun chamberings are "up to" 2 3/4 is up to 2 3/4, 3 inch is up to 3 inch. 3 1/2 is up to 3 1/2 inch.

Since I haven't seen it mentioned yet. NEVER shoot a longer shell in ANY shotgun than it is designed to shoot. Shorter is OK. Longer can have disasterous results.

Dont be sucked in by marketing and be dazzled into buying a round that has ballistics far beyond what your gun can handle. Or maybe YOU get knocked down.

I have deep respect for anyone who can fire a Main battle Tank round at 4000 feet per second and drop a Elk at 4 miles through the forest and over the hill. But such a weapon serves me no purpose in HD.

And remember that the length mentioned, (example, 2-3/4"), is the length of the fired shell....an UNFIRED 3" will fit in the gun but it is not safe to fire.
