So I started reloading down at the sort of opposite end of the logical spectrum, with a Dillon, but have recently picked up a Redding Turret Press to resize and do some more fine tuned work with and realized that I don't know jack about shellholders. Can I buy any shellholder that's marked as "universal" for this or do I have to pick up a Redding?

Thanks folks

Most turret presses use 'shell plates',not shell holders. And they are specific to the press usually.
Can you give us a model for the press?

Any brand shell holder will work in your Redding Turrent press.

Lee makes a great assortment all in one GREEN box that will cover about 100% of most folks needs.

Hello 87,

I have a T7 as well and you will love it. Any universal shell holder will work in it, be it, Lee, RCBS, Redding, etc.

Just don't use the shell holders for the Lee hand priming unit and you'll be okay.

Thanks LGB,

It looks like a great piece of equipment, and made in my old hometown. Thanks for the info.
