I would buy that. That looks like a great HD/ woods gun.

I just fired a Stoeger Condor today for the first time. It was not the short barreled Outback but other than barrel length I think they are the same gun.

I don't think it would make a good HD gun for me. This is why. Every time that you loaded the gun and closed the action the safety automatically activated. This was very annoying on the skeet range and in my opinion would be a very bad idea for a HD gun unless you plan on shooting it often enough to make switching off the safety second nature.

I had ordered the outback nickel from a shop a week ago and they were supposed to ship it to me. They somehow lost my order yet took my money and never told me. So I cancelled the whole order. But I wont get to far into that. I did lots of research and the only common complaints was there were no ejectors, the nickel plating made the action very stiffer to operate and the saftey would reset itself every time you opened the gun. But over all it seems to have performed well for those I have spoken to. At only 36" it makes a good gun for tight quarters or heavy brush which is what I wanted it for. Plus it makes for an interesting piece to add to the cabinet, you dont see to many of them around. I still plan on getting one eventually but they are hard to find and the money was put towards an SX3 instead from a more reliable gun shop.

Also, the trigger is recoil operated so if for some reason the first round fails to fire (bottom barrel) the trigger will not set itself to fire the next shot unless you manually replicate recoil by hitting the butt end of the gun, or open and close the action and try to fire again. One good reason to NOT use this as an HD gun.

actually you can just flip the safety on and off and it will fire the second barrell
