Gordon,
I dont have that particular knive, but you cant go wrong with anything by Chris Reeves
As for S30V I love it,
It is composed of
1.45 Carbon
14 chromium
4 vanadnium
2 molybdenum
This makes for a very hard knive at the stated 58-59 rockwell.
Sharpenining can be a task because of the hardness, and the large carbide structure of the vanadium, but once you get it where you want it it is easy to maintain.
Good luck and enjoy!

My native by spyderco is S30V and a real good knive

Chris Reeves is incredible, and S30V is good (almost all my folders are Spydercos, and three are S30V), depending on your priorities.

I am unsold on the handle on this one, though. I wonder if it will become uncomfortable if you use it a while.

This is to be a Bar B Que petite knife to match a silver mounted tan Tony Lama belt with a nice old tan SD Myers tooled scabbard with an S&W 19 nickle snub with cocobolo Fuzzy Farrant grips. I wanted an all silver petite belt knife with cocobolo handles and an attractive tan leather sheath under about $200 for my wife to give me for my birthday this month..All the Bling knives with tan leather sheaths are big or long or have brass trim ect.

This is over budget at $450 BUT matches belt ect and has that Bling value It is a Fred Ott
