You won't find any guns marked like that.

The 32-20 is properly known as the 32-20 Winchester Center-Fire.
Or more commonly, 32-20 WCF.

UMC (Union Metallic Cartridge Company) was only one company that made 32-20 WCF ammo.

They later became part of Remington, and Reminton still uses the UMC headstamp on it's econemy ammo line.

Heres more:

http://www.leverguns.com/articles/paco/3220wcf.htm

But if you Google 32-20 WCF you will get about 33,500 hits covering the guns, ammo, reloading it, history, etc.

I think the OP was inquiring about .32-40 not .32-20. But Marlin and Winchester offered it in their lineup back in the day.

Oops!

Senior moment! :o

But the same applies to the 32-40 WCF.

There were:
32-40 WCF & 32-40 Ballard which were the same thing.

32-40 Remington (UMC) which was smaller, and chambered in the Remington Rolling-Block #1 Sporting rifle.

32-40 Bullard, which was a proprietary cartridge for the Bullard single-shot & lever-action rifles made by them.

UMC only made cartridges, not firearms.
