I'm wearing one.

If he's local, ask him to let you borrow it and wear around the living room for several hours. Be sure to sit on varied furniture and to stand, lean, bend, etc.

I consider it a mid-rise. It's a straight drop (no forward cant) holster that is good construction. The leather is a little softer than my Bianchi. Retention is good. Open holster bottom, and the entire barrel is covered. Mouth retains its shape.

Can't tell how it will conceal on you...depends too much on your body shape: torso length, rib shape/spacing, weight, hip width/shape, waist size. Also on your selection of cover garment, since it is an outside waist band holster.

Summary: if possible, wear before you buy.

Good luck!

Summary: if possible, wear before you buy. Very sound advise.
Choice of holsters, like choice of mates, is a very personal thing.

I have been carrying P220's on a daily basis in a Galco Avenger, or the very similar Kramer Vertical Scabbard, for about ten years now. I also use them for my 1911's.
They are the most comfortable design for carrrying a large handgun that I have ever found. And I tried a bunch of different designs...

Please note that P220 mags are bigger than 1911 mags and a tightly fitted 1911 .45 mag carrier will be too small for them. The Galco High Ride mag carrier for 1911 10mm mags fits P220 .45 mags perfectly.
