Family Takes on Park Service

I don't have much sympathy for these cattlemen who want to run beef on public lands for free, but this case is a little different - they only want access to their homestead!
Long story...

So, it's the family's land, right? And they just want access, right?
Why not just go get an injunction for a license or easement based on the federal mining statute??? Get the order and THEN go rent the bulldozer. We do it all the time around here without people getting their nose of joint.
Was the paper conjuring up Ruby Ridge to create a controversy? Just because the family has some seemingly "off-beat" religious views? Isn't why this country was founded--because of my ancestors off-beat religious views?
Sounds like a molehill being bulldozed into a mountain.

This has been going on for years. I think one of the problems is that it isn't a mine. It's just a farm/homestead.
The Ruby Ridge comparison is somewhat apt - the Park Service has spent between 200k and 500k to fight and harrass these people. They refuse to issue Park Guide licenses to these people and then arrest them if they take somebody on a tour. They have watching posts that spy on them, etc.

Gee, an admin agency refuse to do something, boy, never seen THAT before!:p So, sue them.
I do not understand why Mr. Ranger Sir is making such a fuss over these backwoods thumpers. And I do not understand why no injunction is pending.
Both sides seem addicted to drama.:scrutiny:
