I was in a gunshop years ago and they had a piece of steel plate (forgot thickness), that had been shot with .556, 7.62x51, 44 mag, .30-06 and a .50 cal muzze with t/c maxi balls. Most of the bullets were military ball. The only one to breach the plate was the muzzeloader with a lead projectile. Go figure.
