You have my sympathys Rocketman, I lived in oregon for quite a while after we got fed up with cornyfornia.

in fact I liked Oregon quite a lot, not only did it have quite fair laws, but it is sofar the only place i have been to that I never had heyfever problems.
(also liked the Fred Myers stores & Mazitlan Mexican Resturants that were everywhere:D)

Hmm, how nice. They're busy trying to take care of what they can't take care of.

They have headings: Assault Weapons, The Brady Background Check, and Ballistic fingerprinting... All of which are essentially non-issues. Assault Weapon is simply an ambiguous term applied to anything they're afraid of, Background Checks don't work, since it's just as easy to get an illegal (unpapered!) gun, and Ballistic Fingerprinting is just a joke that has no chance of working.

Too bad they don't have hunting tags for socialists.

Unlike ballistic fingerprinting and the AWB, background checks do work. Statistics are kept on this and checks catch thousands of people a year. Even members of this forum have been thankful for them occassionally. Are they perfect? No. But even most of us agree that people lacking judgement should not have easy access to deadly weapons. Weeding out criminals and the mentally unstable seems like a great way to do that. Granted they want to shove them down everyones throat...
