I need some advice on replacing the sights on my Glock G34. What would you recommend? Does anyone have any experience with the LPA TTF sights? The information about how horrible the Glock sights on the 34 were on the money.
Dawson Precision, Novak etc? Anyone know the difference as far as fit is concerned between the older Glocks and 3rd generation? I'm considering using this in production class in USPSA, but for now just for range use.

Personally,for action pistol sports I've always used fixed sights. A good combo(fixed or adjustable) IMHO is a black rear with a fiber optic front. Your eye naturally focuses on the front sight because of the obvious contrast. And the front sight needs to be your focus point anyway.
P.S.-Do you shoot at BGSL?

Yes I belong to the Bluegrass Sportsman's League, been trying to make it to the matches on the first Sunday but it's been too cold for me. Probably make the April match... I hope, see you there.

There should be no difference in Glock sights because of age.

I had the Dawson fiber optic adjustables on my 17L for a while, they are very good quality, but they sit a bit high. I went with Heinie fixed sights and adjusted them with a file and touch up blueing.

The Heinies have a wider, deeper rear notch that sure helps with speed and low light.

For speed and accuracy, this is a sweet setup;

CGR is a good company that I've dealt with for years. Some good tech articles there too.

J.C.-My group makes the annual trip to BGSL for the GSSF shoot every year. There is no doubt that BGSL is a class act. Never forget the first time I shot there,told my buddy "Shootin' is just like baseball-there's the majors and there's the minors. Son,we're in the MAJORS today!!" The sign "Warning-poisonous snakes frequent this area" was a real attention getter too!
