It's a great idea, but I couldn't get past their 'verification' system to do a deal.

Bummer.

I use Backpage and Topix. There's tons of gun ads there.

You can find them on craigslist, you just have to do odd searches. My favorite is "lead accelerator."

There are several good Craigslist for Guns. I've got a page I built for my myself and family members for guns and gun research.

Friends said it was cool, thought I'd share. no bells and whistle, just facts.

http://www.montanaguns.org

There is a link for www.armslistcom and several other good ones and other good research stuff.

Thanks and enjoy.

I've sold a couple on armslist already.

I like it because it's identical to craigslist (no registration, easy to post and edit), but looks better.

The site has grown a great deal since this thread started. If you checked it before but didn't find much, now is a good time to try again.

Thanks for the infor on armslist, I stated using backpage instead of craiglist because some jerk out here in Nevada keeps flaggin EVERTHING! Even gun parts, like furniture! and even ammo or just plain brass!!! Appreciate these "freedom links"

PandaBear - That's because Craigslist doesn't allow firearms or ANYTHING firearms related. Didn't you see that in the TOS? It sucks though, I know - It seems totally arbitrary to me considering you can buy prostitutes all day there and they're ILLEGAL!

I'm definitely about to start using ArmsList assuming people actually look at it.

If you are in Maine, NH, VT or Mass then www.unclehenrys.com is awesome. I buy through this almost exclusively.

Uncle Henrys is hilarious. Where else can you find a Ford Pinto chrome bumper that was blessed by the pope, refinished by Michelangelo and personally owned by Elvis....for only $10,000?!?!

It's like every cheeseball from every gun show I've ever been to is on there wheeling and dealing. Half of the stuff is cheaper brand new in the store. I'll admit you can find a good deal here and there if you spend the time to dig through the trash. I always get a good laugh though.

Is it just me or are there only about 10 listings on patriotslist? There are more non-gun items than guns on there.

Armslist.com gets about 50 new listings per day.

Put this together, kind of cool, might catch on.

Top Gun Classifieds (http://www.topgunclassifieds.com/)

Debated on yet another classified site, like we need another one right, with that domain name, chose this instead.

Plenty of room for state & region classifieds as well, none in there yet.

The other top sites are just overwhelmed, thought they deserved their own.

The ranking is based on hits out so you basically vote by going to their site.

Sites that join don't "have" to host a "ranking button" on their page like all the others because it only registers hits out for the main ranking page.

The buttons are available if they want to, thats their call.

Enjoy, blow a hole in it.

upillar.com is getting big. I think it will soon be bigger than ebay and craigslist. You can search nation wide or locally and you can buy sell trade firearms but not hookers.

Been checking regularly. Almost closed a deal but seller backed out. I wish there was a rating system of some sort.

You know that the company is based in (I think) Seattle and is obviously run by a bunch of hippie types, right? They equate guns with war. They don't associate prostitution with war. Come to think about it, hippie types feel rather "free" about all things sexual.

Than Franthithco, CA I believe, the gay bay some call it, it seems to be a LARGE fairly liberal group. Northern CA is beautiful but the only reason for me personally to hit SF bay is the seafood. Commuted to and from that mess for a couple of years. Glad to be home.

If they did allow guns, I'd use it. No need for it now I guess. Getting a little more action in here lately:

http://www.topgunclassifieds.com/

I've cleaned up all of the sites quite a bit. Hope its useful for folks.

Personally, I like riverofguns.com. It aggregates the posts from lots of forums. One advantage to buying off a forum is that registered users might have a reputation, positive or negative, that can help you make a decision.

Your right, won't happen again, glad to be home, nuff said.

Looking at some of these sites it seems that people are asking more for used guns than you can buy them new for. It at least seems that there are no bargains.
