I am not a hunter nor a gun collector, but inherited a rifle upon my fathers death.
It is a Winchester model 54 30-06, seriel #4935. Looking at some docs it appears to have been manufactured the 2nd year of the Model 54 in 1926.
There is a Weaver scope attached, as well as a red rubber recoil pad.
There are two very similiar on Cabela's web side, but much older..ranging in price from $1,100 to $1,695. I think $1,000 is a fair price for this rifle.
If interested, I have an album on snapfish.com called Winchester model 54 30-06.
I am not very techy but I think you need to send me your email for me to allow you to view this album? my email is mkays@adp.ca.gov
