You don't have your own?

Whatcha want one for?

I'd post, but I'm a purist and don't like a lot of gadgets on my rifles. Not to mention I'm not lucky enough to have purchased one prior to the ban (come to think of it, I couldn't have even if I wanted to) and I'm not about to pay 3 times as much just to have a bayo lug or flash suppressor or collapsible stock.

Go to www.ar15.com There's a pic post tacked on the AR15 board. You'll get all the pics you could ever want. You'll be able to see any gadget you want.

Full length AR, sorry, I don't like a lot of stuff hanging off of my guns though.http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?s=&postid=526856

Spieler - cheater cheater! Your A1 has an A2 lower and you didn't fool me. ;) BTW, nice shot. Very clean & simple and not the crew served weapon some folks try making it into today. Less to get snagged when you're in the bush or climbing out of the AFV.

Maybe he did what lots of guys do here: put an A2 grip on an A1 lower.:D

Maybe he did what lots of guys do here: put an A2 grip on an A1 lower. Looks to me like an A2 length stock, as well. Also, aren't the A1's slabsides?

You got me! This rifle actually started life as a pre-ban Oly Arms CAR-15A2 with 3 position collapsible stock and 11.5/5.5 bbl. I never did warm up to the collapsible stock, it looked cool, but wasn't very practical for my needs, and the blast from the short bbl. and long hollow flash hider used to get me some nasty looks at the range. So, I slapped on a new A2 stock and found a great A1 upper. Besides, the mix of A1 and A2 parts is actually reminiscent of my issue M16A1 of eleven years ago. MPs didn't get the latest and greatest front-line issue gear back then like they do now!

Except that it also has the little raised fenceline around the magazine eject. That's an A2 feature. The A1 had a smooth side.

Here you can clearly see (I hope) that it is indeed an A2 lower with the correct reinforcements at the front and rear.
