seriously, did smith ever make a full underlug 4'' 629?

i can do w.out the hi viz front sight, just want a full underlug 4'' 44 Mag that is made of STEEL. is that too much to ask?

You can still get the 5" Classics, I believe. It's a very attractive gun, and the balance is nice (IMO). I don't know how easy, or hard, it would be to find one. My local dealer usually has one in the shop.

Of course, that's a 629...maybe stainless is not what you mean by a "real metal"? ;)

stainless would be fine. seen/read about/heard of too many Ti cylinder guns going tits up.

i;d just prefer one that works all the time ;)

There was also a blued Model 29: The Classic, made from 1991 to 1994.

There were also 29-4 3" and 5" versions with full-lugged barrels with unfluted cylinders.
