A friend emailed this to me today. Thought I would share it here. If there was ever a doubt that hunters cared about wildlife the nonbelievers need to watch this video.

That is really cool. Any REAL hunter has a respect for wildlife.

I actually read the back ground story of this video on Rocky Mountian Elk Found. 2 or 3 of these guys had cow tags. Which is one more thing PETA should know about, since they think hunters are so savage.

Shows what true hunters are like. Great video.

We don't want to break our arms patting ourselves on the back just yet. The hunters who rescued this cow gave some very serious thought to shooting her after she trampled one of her knights in shining armor, and then ran back into her hole.

Still, they did do the right thing and I'm proud of them.

if i had a vaild tag and she ran back into the hole like she did. I dont know if i could have brought myself to pull her out again without the reward of some meat....Those are some very nice hunters

When I hunt I am hunting for meat as a number one priority, if not enough meat comes in we don't have much meat for the whole year. I would have shot her.

^^^ I can certainly understand this, and I don't disagree. I don't think these guys rely on the meat so for the situation that they were in they did the right thing.
