Hey guys. I just got a new to me SP101 in .357. Its a great gun, i really like it. When i first get a gun i like to disassemble it as much as it is safe to do so and give it a thorough cleaning. With the SP101 i cant do this completely. I cannot remove the trigger assembly to remove the cylinder crane. I push in the little button and nothing happens. I pull on that assembly when i push then pin in and try as i might i cannot get that thing out. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks

Pull harder??

They are tight the first few times.

Also, make sure whatever you are pushing the plunger in with isn't so big it locks the trigger guard in place instead of the plunger doing it.

Yeah you've really got to give it a good tug the first couple of times, and you've also got to make sure you're pushing the button in far enough.

I had a hell of a time with mine at first. Try standing a pen or screwdriver on a table and pressing the SP101 down against it to press the button, then pull the latch out with your other hand.

Once you get it open you may want to do some light filing and smoothing in that area to make it easier the next time.
