so i was channel surfing and came across fox on saturday night. they did a piece on the woman who went for her gun when a robber put a gun to her husbands head and demanded his watch and car.

they muddled the story by saying 'the woman then got out of the car and all of a sudden it was a shootout from the wild west', or something along those lines, but they did say 'wild west'... surprised they didnt go on to say 'the blood ran through the streets like rivers of carnage'.

:barf: however, their leadin to the segment was interesting:
"how do you stop a armed robber? by fighting fire with fire!"

i'm gonna go see if i can find an email address for fox, complain about that and all the other bias against law abiding gunowners that show displays.

I've given up watching Cops and AMW. Cops has turned law enforcement into entertainment. The sheriff here in my county has a tank for crying out loud. He's quite proud of his many publicity stunts (Pink underwear and prison stripes for the inmates, 'Tent City' jails--"Its good enough for our military, its certainly good enough for prisoners"). As much as 98.6% of the work done by LEOs is good work, the media for the most part turns a blind eye to the few wrongs done by bad cops.

I do respect John Walsh and his ability to turn the tragedy of his son's kidnapping into a bigger understanding of child predators. But he's never going to investigate a bad cop. It wouldn't be good TV.

here in frisco that wouldn't be a problem...

while I feel that a lot of folks do not belong in jail (drug users)
they shouldn't be the recreation centers the libs have turned them into either.
that sherrif sure is funny though.

I do respect John Walsh
Isn't John an anti? I seem to remember him inviting some women from 2A Sisters on and ambushing and demonizing them on this show for "owning" guns.

Isn't John an anti?

I believe you're right...and I fully disagree with him in this respect.

I respect the way he took a very personal and very tragic event in his life (his son's kidnapping and murder) and used that to foster public understanding of these predators.

I seen the whole story and it didn't come off as anti to me.
