How the heck would you!?
What would you push forward while keeping a trigger-finger locked? Certainly won't be the frame. So, do you try to reach under the gun and hold on to the bottom-front of the frame?? Sounds kinda impossible and or dangerous.

I have heard this term used several times in the last couple of years, but what does "Bump-Firing" mean?
And how is it done?

I seen it on American Shooter this guy shot his 1911 like a machine gun, he said pulled the trigger real fast but it was so fast that he had to be bump firing it, just wondering if anyone has done it and is still alive to talk about it.
How to bump fire.

That was Bob Munden and I think he had to have been bump firing. Before he did it he brought his left hand up the trigger guard and held it there the entire time he was firing. He may may have been pushing/pulling on the trigger guard ???

I saw someone do it with a Glock once. I tried and tried with mine (9mm) but could never do it. Maybe with a larger caliber and lighter trigger it might work.
Semi-auto rifles on the other hand... :D

When Bob Munden reviewed the action speed between the a single action revolver vs a 1911, he was holding the 1911 in his right hand, trigger finger out of the guard. He was actuating the trigger with his weak hand index finger as fast as he could. Not really bump firing it.
