Hi: I'm not very shotgun savvy but if I wanted to have a barrel machined for interchangable choke tubes can it be a full choke barrel to start with or would it need to be a more open barrel like imp. cyl. or modified choke to start with? Hope this makes sense, Thanks Joe.:confused:

I know what you are asking. Doesn't matter what the choke is to begin with. They machine it all out anyway. Outside diameter may have a bearing on what type of choke system can be installed. Best bet is to contact a reputable gunsmith. Mike Orlen comes highly recommended. Carlsons and Brileys also do good work.
