Ruger SR9 "warranty" question?

I just returned from the range with my new Ruger SR9. I put 20 rounds through it without any problems and then the failures to eject began. On an average of twice per magazine the slide would lock open with a fired case firmly held against the bolt face. I mean locked in place. The range guys took one look and said to return it to Ruger. In your experience, will Ruger take on the responsibility to repair and ship this pistol? What say you?

Ruger does not have an express written warranty. That does not mean they will not stand behind and service their product. I recently had repairs done on a nearly 40-year-old revolver at no charge.
