Hi all - quick question for those that know. How does the Sig P220 grip compare to the P6? I've been able to try out the 220 in .45, and loved everything about the gun. It felt nice in my hand and I was really accurate with it. But I'd prefer 9mm since the ammo is cheaper and I have a couple other guns in that caliber. If I liked the P220, do you think I'd feel the same about a P6 or 226?

I have tried both. And I might get slightly flammed (naw this is THR ;)) but I think the P6 is one of the best feeling SIG pistols produced and I covet it just as much as my much higher priced pistols.

The 220 has a larger grip than the P6.

So the P6 - has a slimmer grip - I'm assuming b/c of the lower mag capacity? So would the 226 be closer to the 220 b/c of the increased capacity and (assumed) larger grip?

Yes - the P220 and P226 are very similar dimensionally.

I dont think your going to see a whole lot of difference between any of them. Of the three, I find the P226 to be the most comfortable all around. The P220 is a little wider front to back, the P6 is slightly cramped trigger guard to bottom of the grip. They all fill your hand about the same.

The 220's grip is longer, front-to-back, than the P6. The P6 cannot be made to chamber the longer 45acp round whereas the 220 can.
