Here is a Gunbroker re-listing that I recently noticed. The extreme wording caught my eye. Having just bought one of these a month ago, I kept an eye on it.

The previous listings bids went over $1300 and the reserve was still not reached!

Are these really rare? Did I just luck into a good deal? It seems these are popping up now with regularity after going AWOL for years. Anyone know where they are coming from?

For the record, mine showed up in absolute NIB condition, and I am most pleased. Fills out my 230/232 collection.

I remember seeing them sold in a SGN a few years back (230 or 232, I don't recall) and touted as manufactured for the Japanese Police.
