What would be a reasonable price for a Smith and Wesson model 57 six inch, blue in 95 to 98 % condition ?

IMO a reasonable price would be around $400. Unless it's a pre-1965 gun with the Coke stocks then add $600 for the stocks.
Sellers will likely ask $700-$1,000. Sellers will want $1,000 for the stocks.

I sold 2x .41 magnums. a) 4" Smith & Wesson factory nickel in presentation
case with documents & tools and b) 4" Smith & Wesson model 58 in the original
blue cardboard box with doc's & tools; both in UNFIRED condition (but the
cylinder of the 57 had a ever so slight drag line), for $900 each just recently.
One customer bought both firearms without hesitation~!
*FootNote- in store sale, not from my personal collection~! ;)

These days, it's a fair price and it will sell for that. The pre-lock blued guns are selling at a premium and Model 57's in general sell for a premium in my area at gunshows.

I have a mod. 57 ser # S (or G) 252xxx, The barrel is pinned, it has beautiful wood grips, that cover the complete grip area, and S&W medallions in them, I was curious as to the +/- year of the weapon.
