Lookin' for something.

I am looking for something in a Colt Detective Special, S&W J-frame etc. Basically any 5-shot in 38-ish. The problem is that the S&W Model 36 and the Colt are the only ones that come to mind. What else is there, and what can I expect to pay?

Wander over to www.smith-wesson.com and look around. And the small D frame Colts have a pretty broad variety as well. Rugger makes their sp series and Taurus and little guns too.

How about the Ruger sp101, any S&W centennial,

OK, there are exceptions to every rule. That said, in "general" if you want a sweet shooting Semi-automatic Pistol or Single Action Revolver... get a Colt.
If you want a sweet shooting Double Action revolver... get a Smith!
Stainless Steel J frame's RULE!
The S&W Model 60 is Good. :)
The S&W Model 649 is Better. ;)
The S&W Model 640 is BEST! :D

You can find a used to new detective special which holds six shots by the way for 3-400.
Took me a long time to find the one I wanted.
