Anyone interested, please tell me what you think of this thing that I whipped up on paint shop. Everyone feel free to download and modify it if you like it, or use the idea in something of your own.
the text refers to an arson at the Happy Land Social Club, where illegally chained doors at an after hours club resulted in a horrific death count.

The gas can is misleading, unless the fire was caused by arson. I'd give more details, too, for credibility.
If chains were the cause, then use chains. But that still doesn't work, IMO, because it was not intentional.
Sorry, I just don't think it holds together. Great concept, wrong example.

The fire was intentional. It was arson. A guy mad at his girlfriend torched the whole nightclub. There's conflicting numbers - 83 or 87 dead. Talk to anyone who lived in New York in 1990.

Put a lighter next to it and make it "Assault Weapons."
Seems a little wordy. I am very guilty of being verbose usually.:o

I like it. It seems just right to me.
I remember hearing about that fire.
There was a recent A&E documentary about it, the description of the carnage made me cringe more than anything in recent memory.

Put a rag in the spout or a lighter next to the can.

You need to tighten the leading between "assault" and "weapon," and brighten the red of the can. It's an idea worth pursuing.

gotcha. Factual event = good poster idea. BUT....
It has to tell its OWN story - you can't follow up with a post to explain it.
But there are enough good suggestions here to do the job.
