I need a hammer.

My best friend showed me this little single shot 22 lr belly gun and I had never seen one before. He said that his dad had it for years but the hammer on it was missing. The name brand on the gun is Butler Arms but I havent found any information online about the gun. I want to help him get the gun in working condition again. I would appreciate any help on finding parts for this piece. Im not a fan of it though, "bullets don't work, the need buddies".

you could try making one, maybe, if you can't find the part.

Looks identical to a matched pair of Colts my Mom and Dad had in the late 50's
I would look in Numrich or some place like that which may have Colt parts. I bet the hammer would fit or could be made to fit.

Butler either made those guns for Colt or picked up the model after Colt quit. The Colt hammer would be close if not identical. Numrich would be the first place to look, Jack First next.

I don't know if Colt actually made them or just contracted them out to Butler, but yes, they did sell the No 4 .22 derringer either singly or in pairs as the "Lord and Lady" set 1959-1963 HOWEVER the Colts were .22 short. They were just novelty items, not meant for serious shooting. I guess Butler bunged them out to LR to increase sales.

North American Arms do not make a single shot pistol.
As stated try Numrich.

I know that, but as I said they Might be able to fabricate you one.
Just because they don't make a single shot does not mean they can't help
you.

Not likely. Neither will S&W or Ruger make you a gun not in their line up. Suppose you could get some parts and make your own...a zip gun?

Well, try this then:

They claim to have parts if you call them.
May not be exact with the Butler you have, but they might know.
At least you would have a starting point to make one fit.
