I check almost everyday and there isn't any left. I've got four orders pending, all on "backorder", just waiting for some 7.62 to show up and get shipped. Some online retailers aren't expecting more for months.
I think CheaperThanDirt had some left but I think it was something ridiculous like $400 or $500 per thousand.

Cheap steel cased, basically, NO.

$.50/rd and up brass cased reloadable? Sure there is, but it sure is expensive. :)

its "full tip" according to the box, I havent opened it, but im pretty sure its standard FMJ.

according to fedex's web sight shipping for home delivery would be around 30 bucks, I would get a more accurate quote for ya though

Sunrise, Sunrise Lakes? I am in Coconut Creek. I bought like 4 boxes of Winchester White Box at Walmart in Deerfield Beach 2 weeks ago. Couldn't believe it. They were out of almost every other caliber. I ordered 1000 rounds from Cabelas... been over 6 weeks, no updates, no idea, nada!

Saw some Wolf at a gun show last weekend- $8.00 for 20. Had a sign on it..."I know you're used to $3.00 a box, but those days are long gone...and no it won't go down".

Some of our local stores have it, but I'm not desperate enough yet to pay the prices they are asking for it. I am shooting a lot more 22 and 45 lately instead of using up my small stash of 7.62x39. I should have bought a few cases last year.

We got in 3 big ammo cases yesterday. Again, not sure if it's cool to promote our site, but I'll put it on the front page in the morning. We are listed as one of the best on line web sites for reloading equipment and suplies.

Yes-two days ago, at a small hunting/fishing store on I-40, about 30 min. west of Nashville. It is right next to the on-ramp for westbound traffic. We were driving from the Tellico River (TN) hills back to Memphis.

But when the price for 20 rds. is about $8 (they had about 800-1,000 rds. total), why buy it at such a scalper-price? Their price for .223 was also ridiculous.
Apparently, many (young?) guys who shoot don't mind getting really ripped off.

The store also had about five lonely WASR "AKs" in the corner -each waiting for a dance partner"- but as with the ammo, were also ignored at a price of about $550 each.

I wasn't complaining, having bought a whole bunch from March '08 until last summer. And refuse to buy any 'inflated ammo', whether now, or in three more years.
Only puzzled about why so many find these prices acceptable and keep the panic bubble inflated.
Shooting somebody's AK, (my SKS or Mini 30) would be no fun, if it was all bought at these prices, unless they are wealthy.

They might as well have bought an M-1 Garand a few years ago and lots of 30-06, or an M1A1 and surplus.308.

I made a trip up there about three weeks ago just for 200 rounds because I couldn't wait for my Cabela's order and I wasn't going to pay $9.50 for a box of 20 at the Gander Mountain a mile up the street. I have a VERY fuel efficient car, and a buddy of mine wanted something from Buck's so we split the gas and I came out on top.

I'm pissed!!!!! I ordered 1000 rounds of the same ammo on Feb. 3rd. I just got off the phone with Cabelas and they said maybe the end of the month. :banghead: Guitargod, if you are OK with it, will you PM me your name so I can file a complaint with Cabelas. I have heard from others that they are filling 500 round orders first, which I think is BS, especially since I am paying twice as much! Customer service said I would need the name of the customer who placed their order after me, in order to file a complaint.

Try Sportsmans Guide. They have 500 silver bear for $150 and some brass (berdan primed) cased stuff 900 for under $300. Hope that helps!

With tax and shipping from Cabelas I paid $250 for 1000 rounds. That's 25cents/round. Pretty cheap IMO.

I loaded up on 3000 rounds of Wolf 7.62x39 back in '07. Smart move, as I can weather this storm, still have 2000 rounds left.:)

Sorry, we were slammed today I didn't get the Ammo on the web site. We're charging 17.95 for 40 a round box. Is that fair?

If it's brass cased and reloadable, yes. If it's steel cased, no. :)

How can we tell if it's corrosive or not?

My local Wallyworld has Remington 7.62 in stock. (one of three calibers they can seem to keep on the shelves).

I ordered 7.62 bulk Wolf from Cabela's; 500 rnds backordered estimated 2-3 weeks- Cabela's was true to their quoted back order time frame. Ammo arrived in 17 days.

Edit: Ammo ordered March 3 arrived on March 20.
