I bought a lot of brass and I guess I should have asked what it was before I bought it. (bye gones). Any way I have this brass and it looks ok, no cracks, shiney brass, no bulges. It all looks fine but I don't know what these are.
The formatt on the case it top of brass - bottom of brass

Blazer - 38 special
G.F.L. - 38 special
WCC - 71
38SPL - CBC
38SPL - MRP
WCC - 95
RA - 70
TZZ - 88

It's all brass, no steel and looks relaodable.

If it's brass and looks fine than I see no problems with reloading it. Check a few of the sizes of different brands and make sure they are all within standard lengths and trim if neccessary. I know the CBC is Magtech and have used this brand myself and odviously the Blazer is fine.

I just love pot luck 38 brass! You get the neatest, weirdest and most unusual headstamps from bulk fired 38's. Much Much more so than any other chambering.

The WCC-71, WCC-95, and RA-70 may be military brass from the M41 Ball load.

It used a 130 grain FMJ bullet, and the case is much thicker then standard commercial .38 Special brass.

I would weigh them against commercial brass of known standard capacity and see if they are heavier, indicating less internal volume.

You might possibly get case bulging when seating 158 grain bullets or wad-cutters due to the thicker case walls further down in the case.

Military brass in 38spcl? Just how old would that brass be? I didn't think that the military used 38spcl since the early 1900s? I'm just more curious than anything else.

I would load up all that brass though, all should be fine.

Here is what you have:

Blazer - 38 special (made by CCI)
G.F.L. - 38 special (Fiocchi-Italy)
WCC - 71 (Western Cartridge Company, manufactured in 1971)
38SPL - CBC (MagTech-Brazil)
38SPL - MRP (can't remember, but reloadable)
WCC - 95 (Western Cartridge Co.-manufactured 1995)
RA - 70 (Remington Arms-manufactured 1970)
TZZ - 88 (Isreal Military Industries-manufactured 1988)

All of these are fully reloadable, as I've reloaded all of them within the past week, and have been for years. Some of the military brass may have crimped primer pockets, as some do and some don't. I've loaded thousands of rounds of military .38 Special brass, since I used to shoot with the Air Police when I was stationed near an Air Force Base in the 1970's, and they carried S&W Model 15's. We had regular monthly shooting matches with them between our Sheriff's Dept., the Highway Patrol, a local PD and the SP's. They didn't keep their brass at that time, so I ended up with a couple of 20mm ammo cans full of it. Great brass and lasts a long time.

Because they also sell an aluminum-cased CCI Blazer that's not reloadable.

I've got a lot of military .38 Special brass with WCC (Winchester) headstamps from the 1980s, which I got for free because I last qualified on the M-38 revolver (S&W Model 10) in 1989, as USAF aircrew. We didn't get M-9s until later.

As late as 1979 the S&W Model 10 Airwieght was standard issue for US Army Air Crews and I beleive the Military Police.

I believe you will find the 38MRP has a crimped primer pocket. Comes out as usual but takes effort to seat new primer. I discard them.

Why would the military spec crimped primers in .38spcl? That cartridge wasn't used in automatic weapons.

They are NOT crimped.
I started loading the 38 back in the '60's, and most of what I loaded in pistol was the Mil 38sp brass.
