So I just bought 1000 rnds of this stuff for $210 out the door at a local gun show. It says lacquered steel case on the box. Which brings me to the point of question.

I remember reading on past forum posts about steel ammo casings being hard or potentially damaging the gun. This ammo will be used in my Taurus pt-99 "AF" pistol.

Brown Bear 115 grain FMJ 9MM LUGER. What are yalls general consensus & opinion on this particular brand of 9mm? And should I worry about this ammo potentially ruining my gun?

I appreciate all the help and info yall can provide me.

I have not used this ammo but have used the similar (lacquer-coated steel case) Wolf. The steel used in these cases is very "mild" and is far softer than any barrel or extractor. The lacquer coating will leave residue in the chamber over time, but this is easily cleaned up with normal methods.

I haven't shot a whole lot of this stuff but my experience was that the stuff is not terribly accurate.
Functioned fine in my Glocks and Beretta M9.

I bought a case of Silver Bear in 9mm.It would not cycle my P95, so I sold it. It was the only ammo that my P95 would not feed.

I had ordered a case of Brown Bear in 9mm, and it worked just fine in my Beretta 92 and in my CZ compact... It was sort of a bronze/copper colored case. I ordered it from AIM....However, the second case I ordered from AIM came with a gold colored case and did not do so well....I don't know what the difference was , but I stopped using it because AIM could not guarantee that I would get the same (bronze/copper) type as in my first order... The second case had quite a few jams as I recall.

I fired 1000 rounds of it between a Ruger PC9 and a Glock 19. This was 2-3 years ago now. There were no problems with feeding or extraction, no worse accuracy any other manufacturer's budget priced range ammo. It was just really, really filthy.

A couple of years back I purcahsed 1000 rounds of Brown Bear. It ran flawlessly through my cZ75s and S&W 547s. The lacquer didn't seem much of a problem, but I cleaned the chambers scrupulously after shooting. I liked it so much that I bought another 1000 rounds. The second batch seemed to be oversize and I had failures to feed with every magazine. After finally finishing it off, I have never purchased any more.

I've shot around 500 rounds through my CZ during IPSC. No problems here.
