Hello THR,
I'm on my way out the door to the range and gonna shoot me a bunch of 30-30 WIN (150 gr LFP and RE7 and Trail Boss) that I cast earlier this week and assembled on friday and about 50 rounds of hard core 357 MAG (125 gr XTP and H110) and then about 200 rounds of 38 spcs (125 gr LRNFP and Trail Boss) also cast earlier this week. I also fire off 50 rounds of 375 WIN (250 gr LFP and RE7). I cast this about 2 months ago. All cowboy action style. I just don't feel like chasing brass today.
If you go today, what will you fire off?
Have a good one everybody....

Took the wife out this morning. shot my P220 and Warrior,She shot her USP and XD 40's. I recently did a trigger job on her XD and the difference showed in her shootng today. Her groups tightened up big time.I brought her 200 rds as she normally shoots around 100.Well she liked the XD so much with the new trigger she asked for more. What a great way to spend a morning.

Crikey!! That would be WAY too much cleaning for me. I limit myself to two firearms in a session ... maybe three on occasion.
Back to the OP ... I shot an AR15 (.223 Rem) at 200 yards and 300 yards and a .300 Win Mag at 600 yards in a match yesterday. 66 rounds of .223 and 22 rounds of .300 Win Mag makes for a fun day!!

I did about 100 rounds of hand clays with my 870 then blasted through about 2 boxes of 45 acp with my buddies 1911, just some shooting for fun.... none of it handloaded...
But in a few weeks or so I will be working on loads for my remington 700 VTR in 22-250 and my H&R Buffalo Classic in 45-70 :)

Saturday the old man and I sighted in my new Mosin Nagant M91/30 @ 100 meters. Set the rear sight to 200m to get sub-moa @ ~100 meters (109.25 yards) People have no clue how accurate and more desirable these relics really are!
Sunday (today). I, bound and determined to get the Browning ATD 22lr sighted as it was a NIB the old man bought 15 years ago and never found time to shoot the darn thing!
Sighted both in @ 100 meters! Ah what a productive weekend! :neener:
I must admit I have enjoyed shooting the Mosin Nagant more than anything I've ever laid hands on! (60 rounds on Sat)

I went out today with the intention of trying out my new chrono and testing some .357mag loads I have been working on.
Sadly the chrono seemed to be broken right out of the box so the only data I was able to get was "2400 = Pretty damm fast" and "trailboss = Not so fast".
Trailboss smells better for what ever that's worth.

Just because I shot it today does not mean it will get cleaned anytime in the next few months.....especially the ak's and Saiga's...they are designed to function in adverse conditions.... the Glock, FN and Colts are a bit different.... they cost a bit more and get better care....

Me and my dad went out today and fired :
25 rounds out of the FN-AR at 100 yards, got it zeroed in.:D This thing is sweet.
15 rounds out of my Remington 700 SPS .308 Tactical, started out at 100 yards, it was dead on, 2 inches high, moved out to 200 yards, shot a 2" group, about 1/2" left of the bullseys.:D I shot my handloads, Remington Case, Remington Primer, 44.5 gr of H-4895 and a 150 gr Core-Lokt bullet, they chrono'd at 2970 fps.:)
10 rounds out of my SKS at 100 yards, did a 3" group.:)
35 rounds out of my XD-40, shot the bullseye out at 15 yards.:D (handloads)
20 rounds out of my Ruger 22/45, did a 1" group off hand at 15 yards.:)
All in all, it was about 2.5 hours of fun, takes a long time to walk 200 yards, lol!
Weather was about 70 degrees, light breeze, this at 8500 feet up in the Rockies, in March!:D

I know what you mean!! :) I don't always thoroughly clean my firearms when I get home ... particularly the stainless ones, but I do pass an oiled patch through the barrel/chamber a couple of times to get rid of the powder residue and carbon and wipe everything down of course ... usually before I leave the range.

but today I practiced baseball (my other love) with my 18 and over team.
Well I could be worse, Mate. I went to play rugby with some friends about a year and a half ago (it had been since I lived in Switzerland the last time I played) and after the first 15 minutes, I wanted to send myself to the showers!!!! I ended up with a bloody nose, a fat lip and a bite mark on my left calf not to mention the 30 grit enama I got sliding 15 meters at a time on my backside. Friggin' animals, the lot of them.
Rusty -
Howzit Mate. Sounds like you had a good time. I had fun too, at a small price.
Angeles Range was suffering from a windy chilly day sunday. I left from Long Beach in shorts and a t-shirt and when I got to the range it was about 15 - 20 degrees F colder or at least it felt like it. You ever try to will away cold with mind power?? I froze my Asprin off. Lucky i ditched the slippa's (Flip Flops) and put on a pair of VANS.
Take care, my friends.

Took my fullsize 1911 in .45, compact 1911 in .45 and my fullsize 1911 in .38 super. Did some practice draw & fire with the fullsize .45 and just plinked at some rocks about 150 yards away with the super. Nice and relaxing session.
