I bought my wife a Ruger LCP she shot it for the first time today she didn't like it, she said it hurt her hand when she shot it, but she liked my .45 better so gonna have to buy her a .45 for her self. Any suggestions I need something simple in single stack.

I'd just run her through the gun cases and see what fits her hand well. Find one she likes, rent one, let her shoot it, see what she thinks.
Lather rinse repeat until she finds one she is dead set on having.
Then buy it and put 1,000rds down it.

Softest shooting, accurate, comfortable, and reliable 45 on the market! Bar none.

There are quite a few options out there that will not break the bank in a .45. The first question I would ask you is what firearm of yours she was shooting? If she liked it you may consider getting her something similar, or the same gun.

Depending on her level of training there is a huge list of 1911's style pistols in various sizes that may work for her. Some would call the 1911 design simple while others may not because of the safety. Obviously, with training, most people can become proficient with about anything.

Other options might be something such as a G36 (Glock single stack sub compact) or a Kahr CW45. Both will run in the $550- $600 price range normally and are extremely easy to operate. All you have to know how to do is keep your finger off the trigger.

I am going through the same process with my wife. I have found that the best idea is to let her find what fits her best.

380 Auto is snappy because of the round and the blowback design of most 380 autos.. To me it transfers more energy directly into your hand more than 9mm & 45.... Don't get hung up on 45 ACP just because of this one session.

The biggest consideration is the size of her hands. If they are larger than you have a wider range of pistols to choose from.... take her to a shop and let her hold a few. From there some will work others will not. Stay away from smaller cute guns they will kick more.....

Women often shoot 1911 very well because they can be setup to fit smaller hands....

I would also recommend a browning hi power....great 9mm that is accurate and a soft shooter.

Also consider a used P6... similar to the P225.. a nice single stack 9mm that shoots well.

You should be letting her pick it out.

Take her and rent a bunch of guns. Let her decide.

Maybe a model with a compensator? Beretta Px4 comes to mind.

I agree with the idea of renting different models and letting her choose.

If you want a suggestion and she has small hands... Look for a Sig 225 or one marked P6.

It would be prudent to let her pick a gun from several quality offerings... She is the one who is going to shoot it.

My fiance has tiny hands with little strength and she prefers glocks because she can manipulate the trigger easily. Don't just assume that she needs a single stack.

My wife likes the STI Guardian. It's a 1911 single stack with a 3.9" barrel and is available in .45acp or 9mm.
