Money Talks: Gun Owners Ban the Ntnl Parks

I got to thinking, there is much truth in the old adage "money talks". Since there is something in the realm of 80 - 100 million gun owners nation wide, what would the financial effect be on the Ntnl Parks if we all boycotted them pending the repeal of the CCW ban?

I personally have decided to never set foot in another Ntnl Park until this ban is lifted for good. I have started to do this with everything... if I see a business with a "no guns" sign on the door, I take my $$$ elsewhere as well.

With so many of us gun owners in America, I think we can make a real difference if we all boycott those who deny us our rights.

That's like if the government made guns in cars illegal, so you stopped driving.

Trouble is most forestry people would prefer that everyone stayed out of their parks...

Here in Utah we have several major national parks. Some of them are the lifeblood of their local economies. It hurts badly if ANYONE turns their back on them.

I grew up outside of Zion National Park. (My hometown actually has a mandatory firearms ownership law.) I am going to that part of the state this weekend, and I was planning on going, but this ruling might mean I will just go to the local state parks instead.

I think the ban WILL be lifted, but not before this weekend.

mljdeckard,

Yes, sadly some of the most beautiful places on Earth are inside of Ntnl Parks here in Utah. I am deeply torn by this decision, but I am willing to make sacrifices to preserve one of my favorite rights. Be safe down there... bring plenty of fluids, and a compass.

Regards... a fellow Utahan
