Another Hypothetical question, only for THR members who live in area's/country's that highly restrict, or Ban firearms. Such as the U.K., Washington D.C., Canada, N.Y.C. ect. How hard do you THINK it would be to obtain an illegal gun? I am not asking for you to do it; or if you actually have one. Just your opinion.

This is one of those things that may benefit from some firsthand research. There's always a chance that, sometime in the future, everyplace will ban or heavily restrict firearms. Good to be prepared.

It would be only as difficult as killing someone who HAS a gun (police, military) and taking it. Forgive me for pointing out the obvious. Not that I'm condoning this sort of action.

It would only come down to how much you're willing to pay (wink wink, nudge nudge!)

Blood not needed.
Money will do.
For gun, passport or whatever.
The laws are to control the law abiding, no effect on the politicians and other criminals.

Let's put it this way. How hard would it be for you to obtain heroin ?
Sure, you probably don't know where to get any in the next 10 minutes, but I bet you have some ideas where to look.

Don't know for other countries...but for NY or D.C......how hard is it to drive to another state and sneak it back in?
Not hard I'd think.

Drive six blocks; convince the loc's that I'm a non-combatant in the ongoing turf war... yeah... unfortunately it could be done.

Getting illegal guns is really easy here in Peru, but also very expensive...the last time I checked , a beretta 92fs 9mm was going for 1000USd....but a really cool UZI was at 1200USD!!(.380 is the biggest we can get around here legally, and lots of people carry 9mm without a license...)

According to reports I've read in the newspaper, you can drive to a certain place in a certain city, tell the guy hanging out on the corner that you need a gun, and pass them a hundred bucks or so.
Frankly, this is much easier and faster than all the leaping through the flaming hoops of fire I had to do to obtain them legally.
But, seeing as I'm a law abiding citizen and all, I never seriously considered that option, even though the state yanked my chain for 10 months.

Worse comes to worse, I know machinists who could make them without trouble.

444's right. How hard is it to get illegal drugs now? How hard was it to get alcohol during prohibition? The risks of gunrunning begin to pale in comparison to the potential profits, and firearms go underground. Works every time, guaranteed.
But I'm only stating what should be obvious.
