I have a tactical model pump and I am having trouble getting the plug out of it. I took the cap off and the large plastic piece on top of the plug will not move. I called Charles Daly and I was told to push down just a little and make a quarter turn. I pushed and it got stuck in the tube. I got it back up but still could not turn it. I called back and the guy said that I may have ruined the threads by pushing down too hard. I told him that Remington and Winchester makes it easy and this is a real pain to have to run into this. He said it is easy to take the plug out and I told him it is not. HE LAUGHED AT ME. I told him I would never have anything to do with Charles Daly again.

I don't see why you should be so careful that if you push just a little bit too much, " it is ruined". Just because the guy in customer service never had a problem with removing the plug doesn't mean I have to be laughed it. I have done this with Remington, Ithaca and Winchester and never any problems.

Just put it back together and get rid of it. You buy a cheap gun..... you get cheap customer service. Simple as that.

I've only known Charles Daly to provide top notch service and warranty. A friend of mine has a CD field grade 12ga auto that has had thousands of rounds through it, including some heavy 3" Magnums. It needed the bolt buffer replaced and a simple phone call had the part in hand in 3 days and was an upgraded material. They are lifetime warranted for parts & labor.
