Mounting a NV scope on a Mosin Nagant

I am getting a Mosin Nagant on April 10th and im just wondering if you can mount SVD or AK type scope mounts on them. I have a 1PN-58 NV scope sitting in my room so I want to put it on the mosin nagant when I get it. this is the only way I know and thats to take off the rear site and stick a scope up on that little 22 size rail that has a foot eye reliefe or have the bolt turned down and have a rail installed. as far as the scout scope I dont know how they mount.
