Hey, I talked to Dan and he said he wasnt sure what grips these are on his fine looking M60.. Does anyone know what they are? Im trying to find something similar for a 3" model 60 Im getting.. Having a hard time finding conversion/target style grips for the roundbutt J frame.. Thanks for any help!!

I am fairly certain those are not a production pair. They look to me very much like factory targets that were cut-down and reshaped, then engraved like that.

Yes, they made both. But based on the full underlug and lack of pin, I am guessing that gun is a RB and it has modified conversion grips on it.

mickstix,I saw these grips on another thread and wondered if they might be made by Feratt(sp?). I just got a M60 and hate the mono grips. I called S&W yesterday and ordered a set of grips made for the M60 pro series. They look good IMO, are inexpensive and look like they will fill the hand much better than the rubber mono grips. Good luck with your hunt.

I believe those grips are from Altamont Grips. They used to turn out some lovely work, but I have always had trouble contacting them.

I think these are made in India for a firm called Art Jewel. But they may have been modified after purchase.

As shown, they look strongly reminescent (sp?) of Pachmayr's rubber grip for the Ruger SP-101.

Probably very comfortable and controllable.

Wish I could Tipoc, but it's not my gun.. But from the consensus here and at other sites I've posted it on, Im fairly certain they were made by Eagle Grips or someone affiliated with Eagle Grips Inc. Thanks for the help folks! :)
