In the original series, there was an episode called "Shore Leave", if I remember correctly. In it, the usual landing party beams down to a beautiful planet that it turns out, can read their minds and reproduce whatever the crew happens to be thinking about at the time.
There was a knight in armor, a samurai, even Alice and the Rabbit, make an appearance at one point during the episode...
Anyway, Sulu, who apparently is an avid gun collector, happens to be thinking of a revolver he covets, and it suddenly appears before him.
Kirk and the rest of the crew are startled when without any warning, Sulu decides that the peaceful meadow he found himself in is actually a nice place for a little target practice and caps off a few rounds with complete disregard for eye and ear protection (not to mention the rule about knowing whether there are any aliens behind the distant bushes).
Later in the episode, the same wheel gun was used by Captain Kirk to whack the knight after he "kills" Dr. McCoy. Of course I never saw any tac-reloads...
OK, on to the question: What was the revolver in the episode? Caliber, barell length, production year? Does anyone have an image of Kirk or Sulu blasting away with their new "gat"?
