Hello. is it possible to install night sights on a snubby? or better to get the CTC grips? Older S&WM39 and Speed Six with 2.75 bbl-thinking big dot nites on the Six. These are well used, practiced often. Smith will get newer
better grips also-any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Ruger SP101 has a removable front sight, and Trijicon makes a tritium front sight for them (I have one on mine). In larger snubs, the S&W 686 also has a removable front sight, and I have Meprolights front and rear on my 4" model (they'll also fit the 2½" model). If your snubby has a fixed front sight, it'll take a gunsmith to mill it off and cut a dovetail or mount a ramp to take a night sight.

I have the CT grips on my Sp101 3” .357. In low light practice I can acquire my target much quicker, shoot from the hip or around corners/obstacles and easily hit what I’m aiming at while minimizing my presence. You can’t beat a laser for low light.

I agree on the laser. Have CT grips on my 442 and I love them. They are perfect for a snubby. In addition to the low light benefits, you can shoot from unusual positions as V-fib noted. Plus, you make a fixed sight gun into an adjustable sight gun!
