Would the Phantasm SG Really Work?

Y'all,

Way back, in the "phantasm" horror movies, some humans took a pair of SxS shotties, bolted them into a SxSxSxS and then sawed the barrels down into a "^" shape, this was supposed to give maximized spread when touching off all 4-barrels against masses of evil dwarves. ;)

Would this design really work in optimizing spread (say in a room, or down a hallway), or would the uneven barrel openings do some crazy things for shot dispersal, or would it have no real effect at all in a shorty barrel?

Such a gun would be quite the dwarf slaying weapon! Though I would be a bit hesitant to touch off all four barrels at once.....just a bit!

I have the fondest rememberance of this movie; and that SxSquad-booya gun was the coolest.

Who cares if it would work!

Now where can I get one of those spiked flying tennis ball thingys?

How about this.

If the lateral 4 had the barrels spread a bit, would indeed give a devastatingly deadly dwarf decimating pattern.

Been done in years of yore. In assorted sizes.

I used to have a replica of an old Black powder "duck's foot" pistol, non-firing unfortunately, that worked on kinda the same idea, although the barrels themselves were off kilter. Supposed to be just the thing for mutinying crews, dwarves or otherwise.

Effect? Kind of a reloadable Claymore mini-mine. But....

Hollywierd strikes again. Not only would this beast be nigh uncontrollable, but barrels of uneven length with unsquared muzzles mean the wad has pressure acting on it from one side, and venting out on the other. A close range patterning board or paper would shows the wads keyholing, I surmise.

To make it obvious to all, do NOT try this at home!

I don't know Dave, if my house is ever being over run by evil undead dwarves I may be tempted to break out the hacksaw and duct tape.:D

John, it's your house. Undead here will be met with the olive wood stakes loaded into AA hulls, CB wad,,17 gr of Clays sabot load mixed loaded with the Silver bullets I picked up from the Lone Ranger's estate sale and turned into 00 buffered with garlic powder. That should suffice for Zombies, vampires and werewolves.

Now that depends; cite sources for your Zombie/werewolf/vampire slaying information. Personally I like the zombies in 28 day's later, very fast, very nasty but easy to kill. Now in return of the living dead, you could chop e'm into peices, and they still had pleanty of Brain suckin livelyness to e'm. Dont even get me started with Vampires and werewolves, I could go on and on. And will, if provoked since these are a few of my favorite things; next to women and gun's of course:D :D :D
