anyone ever see a holster that can be carried in the hand that would conceal a small pistol and is designed to ape a blackberry or palm devise?

As for a holster like you want, why not just use a small camera case?

Kel-Tec ships its small pistols in a nice blue zipper case about the size of a Blackberry.

My NAA Guardian came with a Desantis holster/case with a belt clip. Looks like some sort of nerd gear when worn, but not that easy to unzip and draw from.

Sorry I don't have better pics, I don't use it at all... except as a case when the gun is in my safe.

in answer to why not a day planner case, i am always walking around with a blackberry anyway, and i don't want a zipper. thinking spring loaded...release latch, squeeze button and snaps open. justa fantasy.

There are fanny packs and such like to have a leather pull string that you grab and rip to get to the weapon.

I think there might be a better way to carry a weapon than a case, you might actully leave it somewhere thinking it's just another pile of office stuff.

i figure the closer to your hand the better when shortcutting thru those urban alleys in a business suit. maybe one of the engineers out there can create.

Porsche has a really good idea. A lot of people walk around with a Blackberry or phone case (or two) clipped to their belts. Build one that isn't a Blackberry case, but a holster. A perfect way to CCW...a fast draw combined with excellent concealment in office attire.

I would talk to somebody like Ken Null about it. This is precisely the sort of deep concealment stuff that he does. Set it up for a Seecamp, Rohrbaugh, or similar mini-gun.

And let me know. I want one, too.

It'd be better to have the top be two pieces of elastic you can reach through rather then a zipper, wouldn't you think?

i am thinking some spring like device that instantly pops the 2 halves, covered in their realistic leather case, open in an instant so you can drop the gun into your hand from the hand that is carrying the case. or a clip device that holds the 2 halves closed and the two halves are joined with a hinge...better as no spring failure. it would be limited to very compact pistols by size and might need to be larger than life size (but not by much). my BB device with case is about 4.5x2.5x1. the attached clip device, on the case however, would give one more depth to play with.

i don't like things in my pocket or on my belt.

I have a Kel-Tec P32 that I carry in a zippered GPS case that has a belt loop. It measures 3 1/2" X 5" X just over an inch thick. I carry it on my belt on my left side with my cell phone right behind it. The long dimension of the case is horizontal and the zipper runs the whole length. It's not exactly a fast draw but I unzip it with my left hand and remove the gun with my right. I got the case at Best Buy in the GPS section. It's made by the same company that makes Swiss Army Knives. It's the perfect size for the Kel-Tec and no concern about clothing riding up and exposing it and it's always with me as I keep it on my belt even when at home just like my cell phone. Works for me.

Porsche, I wouldn't set it up that way. People have tried spring-loaded opening holsters for a good fifty years, and they have proven to be an excellent way to dump your gun on the pavement.

I think the way to go is a leather full-flap case with a snap or velcro. Cut away enough so that when you pull the flap open, you have good access to your gun.
