Mossberg Prices

Hi,

I was looking at the MSRP for Mossberg 500 series shotguns and they have skyrocketed from around $250 last year to around $325-400 for 2009. The prices are almost equivalent or more expensive than a Remington 870 Express. I wouldn't want to pay such prices for a Mossberg 500. Howcome Remington hasn't increased 870 prices by that much?

Paid 700 for my mag 870 from Rem, about 270 or so for the Moss 500.

All told we did fairly well. Got a bunch of stuff to go with them to boot.

i just picked up my mossberg 500 today. i payed 279 +tax and dros (315 out the door) and it came with 2 barrels.

I bought a new Mossburg 500 at wally world one month ago for 207.00 before tax (Oklahoma). I hope they haven't increased that much since then. Does not bode well for other firearms or ammo if so. Haven't checked prices for the shotgun lately but ammo has risen slightly.
