My favorite gun is always my next one. Seriously.

March 26, 2009, 08:52 PM
A WWII Springfield M1 Garand. It was a present from my father for my 19th birthday.

I like guns in a large variety, but the Garand takes it for "favorite gun." I did not choose this based on any practical/tactical/reliability criteria, just my favorite.

March 26, 2009, 08:58 PM
this one...

but my PT1911 comes in a close second.

March 26, 2009, 09:00 PM
I'm with CWL, my favorite is always the newest one in the safe or the new one i have my eye on.

"My favorite is always the newest one in the safe or the new one i have my eye on."

That about sums it up.

March 26, 2009, 09:07 PM
My Kimber 1911. Love the 1911 platform.

March 26, 2009, 09:07 PM
My favorites are:
870, 3" 12 gauge
788 Rem .308*
S&W K-22 Masterpiece
*I have more expensive, better looking rifles, but none shoot better (although the Kimber Longmaster shoots as well) than the 788.

I love revolvers, and for some reason I have really fallen in love with the Colt Detective Special. Mine isn't the prettiest one, but I love it. Hope to get a LNIB one day.

Said it before, I'll say it again.
Cheapest gun I own, more rounds through it than any of the others and most enjoyment provided.

My trusty Kahr PM9 is with me almost everywhere I go, every day. In terms of nostalgia, my Mossberg 500 brings back every great memory I have of duck hunting trips to ND every year with my Dad.

whats your favorite gun?

This one:

This one is a close second:

It's the much sought-after but seldom-found Speed Six. It was barely fired and in pristine condition when I bought it, a real gem. When I bought it, I was just looking for a good, basic .357 revolver so I just bought the first Ruger I found, figuring that I couldn't go wrong with one of those. At the time, I had no idea what great guns Speed Sixes were or how much they were sought after, so I really lucked into a good thing.

March 26, 2009, 11:28 PM
My Colt Officers Model from 1941 is absolutely the finest revolver I have ever owned. My custom 94 winchester in 38-55 is my favorite long gun, but then it should be, I had it built to my specifications!!!!!!!!!

March 26, 2009, 11:43 PM
Thompson Encore Pro-hunter

March 26, 2009, 11:43 PM
My Benelli Super Nova 12ga. shotgun.:)

March 26, 2009, 11:46 PM
My favorite gun is always my next one. Seriously.

So funny, yet so true...

Mine would have to be the MP5.

March 27, 2009, 12:55 AM
Without question my Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 magnums. They eat anything, can be used for plinking, HD, or hunting anything in North America. Have 2 right now and have plans to collect many more. Shhh... don't tell the wife...:D

The one I have in my hands at the time!!currently Uberti .45 colt

March 27, 2009, 02:51 AM
Hard to say. I think it is my .243, Winchester model 70 that my Grandpa gave me, but it is hard to tell. I love most of my guns. A lot.

March 27, 2009, 03:50 AM
Hard to say...nearly impossible to decide.

Under any circumstance, however, I could not depart with my first SKS. My grandfather gave it to me under the conditions to never sell it or get rid of it, and pass it down to my kids one day. I'll honor that, as well as honor all of his firearms he may leave me one day.

I have a few that I would sell if I am in financial need, but most (especially my deer rifles) are not going anywhere. My Model 70 Winchester in 7mm Magnum holds a special place, its killed my biggest buck, and I always have good luck with that rifle. Since getting my Stevens Model 200 in 300 Win Mag to use as a beater, the 7mm only gets one deer a year before its put back. The past two years, I've taken it in the field twice, taking a deer with it's yearly maiden voyage out of the house for business. I also killed my first deer with the 7mm.

My Remington Model 700 in .270 is in joint custody at the moment. My girlfriend shoots it extremely well and took her first deer with it several years ago. I already tell her "That's your rifle cause I sure as hell can't shoot it that good!" It deserves to be used and shot well, unfortunately I can't live up to its needs. Takes a woman's touch I reckon... (That's probably her favorite gun!)

March 27, 2009, 07:31 AM

March 27, 2009, 12:52 PM
I'm with everyone that said the next one I will acquire/have my eye on. If we are talking strictly the ones I have now. I would have to go with my Beretta 8045F mini cougar, it is by far my favorite concealed carry for the moment.

March 27, 2009, 12:54 PM
Probably my old Model 10.

March 27, 2009, 12:57 PM

My 'favorite' gun will often change with every purchase. Sometimes with every range trip.

Here is the current...

March 27, 2009, 02:02 PM

my flavor of the week

March 27, 2009, 02:08 PM
I know a lot of people don't care for them, but my favorite is my S&W 4516. I have a Kimber 1911, and other semi-auto pistols, but I like the S&W best.

For long guns, I'd have to say .....all of them! I'm not going to choose!

March 27, 2009, 02:36 PM
my converted Saiga.

An AK is forever.

Brian Williams
March 27, 2009, 02:44 PM
Probably my 3" S&W 13-4, with my 1st series Colt Woodsman right behind.

March 27, 2009, 03:24 PM
Wow. Nothing like asking the imposible. But if push came to shove, I'd have to say the Walther P5. There's something about a classic that just keeps calling my name, and the P5 is a true classic.

Coltman 77
March 27, 2009, 03:29 PM
Colt Python 4" barrel. A safequeen that I shoot every now and then.

March 27, 2009, 03:54 PM
whew tough one, right now I'ld say my Marlin 39, probably more just because I've been broke and haven't been shooting much except for 22's.

March 27, 2009, 05:44 PM
Winchester 1894 Trails End in .44 Magnum

March 27, 2009, 05:47 PM
I like the one where you pull the trigger, and there's a lound BANG. You know the one.

March 27, 2009, 05:50 PM
Well I have only ever shot my walther pps, but based on looks I really like the kimber raptor II

March 27, 2009, 06:15 PM
Colt Delta H-Bar in my hand, Glock 17 on my side.

Kind of Blued
March 27, 2009, 07:12 PM
Haven't bought it yet. :)

Seriously though, I have a lot of guns I really like, but none of them am I in love with.

They're upper-mid level guns, but I should have just bought the "upgrade" first!

March 29, 2009, 09:43 PM
My Grandfather's 1903A3 that he carried in WWII, he was a Supply Sgt in Patton's Army.

I've got a great picture of him in Dresden in early-ish 1945, dismounted from his jeep kneeling in a kraut road with his 1903A3, steel pot helmet atop his head.

It is very surreal to hold that same rifle in my hands and know how to shoot it like it is an extension of me, it truly is a rifleman's rifle...I can almost feel his presence when I shoot it. It is as close to a religious experience, commuting with a passed loved, one as you can get with a rifle...It is an all matching 6-43' Springfield in 95% condition with proof/acceptance stamps in excellent condition--aside from a few rub marks on the stock on it from where it rubbed against the rifle scabbard mounted on his jeep:D

March 29, 2009, 10:46 PM
Their all favorites but definitely the "fun gun" of the bunch is a scoped Marlin 60. Shooting the staples out of the next guys target is too fun. X

March 30, 2009, 01:08 AM
I love all my guns but none are as fun as my ruger 10/22 hehe plinktastic!!!!

March 30, 2009, 06:13 AM
I'm really loving my MSAR stg.556:cool: Probably because I've been in love with the Aug ever since I was a kid. Sure it's one of my newest guns but I've already put a lot of rounds through it and so far it's been 100% reliable with whatever ammo I feed it. Beyond that it's proved to be very accurate and is incredibly fun to shoot, what more can I ask for.

Here's my baby....

March 30, 2009, 11:56 AM
My Colt 6520 is my favorite...my 870 comes in at a close second.

March 30, 2009, 12:07 PM
Right now it's my always faithful Ruger LCP... 24/7 she is always with me.

March 30, 2009, 12:12 PM
Right now its probably my x39 Saiga.
