I couldn't resist

I was at the Minnesota Weapon's Collector show last weekend in St. Paul and I found this little orphan amongst a passle of "black rifles." I just could not resist. She was NIB for a song $200! It is a Uberti reproduction of a .36 cal. CSA Leech & Rigdon. I'll post a range report when I unlimber her after our nasty weather breaks.

Ok, I also threw in one of my handmade knives but since I make those for fun I didn't consider that part of the total price.:o

Very nice revolver at a very nice price. I wonder why Uberti put a roll marked cylinder in it? Didn't the L&R have a plain cylinder?

When I was looking online for info about the revolver I read the reviews at DGW's site. One customer had a L&R revolver from Uberti years ago that had a plain cylinder. A recent purchase of a new L&R had a rolled cylinder like a Colt Navy. The seller I bought this one from had three "new" Uberti's, 2 WALKERS and the L&R. His WALKERS were $300 each! but had been fired.

According to Uberti's bill of materials, the only difference between the L&R and the regular roundguard Navy is the barrel.
So, no plain cylinders anymore I guess.

One I obtained back in the early '90s had a plain cylinder.
This is something I'd expect from Palmetto or Pietta ... not Uberti.
